Bordeaux river festival

Held every two years in celebration of the Garonne river flowing through the city, “Bordeaux Fête le Fleuve” is an event set along the 2km stretch of the Garonne River waterfront. One of the highlights of the Festival is the presence of the world two largest tall ships, the Kruzenshtern and the Sedov. The event also features the crossing of the Garonne river by swimming, rides on the river, boat visits, exhibitions, meetings with sailors, concerts including performances by Arthur H and Winston Mcanuff, firework display, tasting of the white wines of the Bordeaux appellation and food stalls selling authentic products from the South West such as foie gras, Bayonne ham and Arcachon oysters..
Open every day from 11 am to 11pm. Admission free.
