Step into a spy’s shoes

PARIS The playful exhibition «Spy» takes you on the footsteps of an agent of the French secret service who gets 48 hours to deliver details about a foreign nuclear test to the President of the Republic. It provides a better understanding of scientific methods such as sound and satellite picture analysis or cryptography and protocols to observe in these top-secret missions. In addition fourteen intelligence agents agreed to be interviewed for this exhibition and give insights into their job. Visitors also learn about the background to six contemporary spy cases such as the cyberattack against TV5 Monde on April 10, 2015 or the poisoning of Serguei Skripal on March 4, 2018. Dunkirk carnival

DUNKERQUE. One of the craziest and most festive carnivals in Europe, the Carnaval de Dunkerque is also one of the longest as it runs over several months with events on weekends and certain weekdays. It features balls and processions of groups of revelers and musicians called “bandes” who are dressed up or wear yellow fishermen's coats, as the tradition dates back to the 17th century when ship owners held a feast for the fishermen and their families before the men departed for six months to fish off the coast of Iceland. The parades last around 4 hours and finish at the Town Hall where the crowds demand 'what they deserve', that is 450 kg of herrings which are traditionally thrown off the belfry. The party culminates in the “Trois Joyeuses”, on the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. Information :

A festival devoted to the young photographers, Circulation(s) presents the works of forty-five photographers from all over the world selected by a professional jury as well as works of photographers presented by the Persons Projects gallery from Berlin and the FAMU school from Prague.
