North-West of Béziers, the Saint-Chinian appellation produces a few of white wines and a wide range of reds. Each year experts elect the best ones called “Vins Virtuoses”
An appellation with a great diversity of terroirs as schist soils alternate with clay and limestone ones, Saint Chinian produces fruity, fresh and elegant readily accessible red as well as full bodied, powerful able to age wines. Every year the Syndicat du cru Saint-Chinian asks French and international wine expert to choose the appellation’s best wines via a blind tasting. The 2016 edition took place in London in partners with UK wine magazine Decanter.
